Ranching Opportunities is organized in a partnership between Mountain View County, Red Deer County, Kneehill County, M.D. of Bighorn, Rocky View County, Wheatland County, Foothills Forage and Grazing Assn, Olds College and Alberta Agriculture. It is the goal of the committee provide speakers on current topics to generate ideas producers can take home and apply to their situation.

2014
In 2014 we began the day with a discussion on the value of manure, followed by breakout sessions on animal handling, BIXS, and feed analysis. This was followed in the afternoon by a producer panel discussing the merits of calving early vs. later on grass. The day ended with a presentation by Theresa Dietrich on What do consumers Want. She played a video that stimulated a lot of discussion, positive and negative.
2013
This seminar began with a presentation on grass fed beef by BiteBeef. This was followed by breakout sessions on fencing, online marketing, and managing soils for grass production.
